6 ways to submit Jeevan Pramaan: Annual Life Certificate by the pensioners

 

To continue receiving pension, November is the month to submit the annual Life Certificate by all the government pensioners every year. November 1st to November 30th is the time duration to fill and submit it.

For the pensioners aged above 80 the duration is 2 months -October 1st to November 30th.

Therefore, be attentive and remember the Last day is November 30.

Physically or digitally, there are 6 ways a pensioner can submit the life certificate, commonly known as Jeevan Pramaan Patra. These are:-

Online Submission mode at home:-

1. Using Jeevan Pramaan App on PC or Smartphone

• Download and Install Jeevan Pramaan App on your PC.
• Buy a UIDAI-mandated/STQC certified biometric device: Download and Install its driver and RD Service.
• Buy an OTG cable(to connect the biometric device) for submission through your Smartphone.
• Fill and submit your Life certificate form.
• Download your Jeevan Pramaan Patra online.

The submitted life certificate can be accessed by the disbursing agency or banks and hence the pension continued to be credited in the bank account, so no need to step out to physically submit it.

2. Using Umang App:

You can also use Umang App to submit your Jeevan Pramaan online at home. Here is the how to view your Life Certificate in the Umang app.

3. Visit CSCs or Cyber cafe or Post Office near you

Apart from comfortable home submission you can also submit it online at various places near your home.

Jan Suvidha Kendra - Commonly called CSC (Common Services Centre).

Cyber Cafe - any cyber cafe that has proper equipment to process.

Post office - Pensioner can submit it here also just like they do at banks.

Remember, these places charge for this service.

Also, take all your documents with you - PPO Number, Bank A/C number, Disbursing agency, Aadhaar Number, Phone number, email-id.

4. Submit in the Bank or the Disbursing agency

The most common method before the introduction of the online submission methods, it still exists in some of the banks or govt departments.

Fill a paper form, get it attested by the officials and submit it there.

5. Postman at home/Doorstep service by India Post

Pensioner need to download the Postinfo App to use this facility. The doorstep service to submit the pensioner's life certificate has been launched by the Department of Posts in association with the Ministry of electronics and Information Technology in November 2020.

6. Doorstep Banking by various banking alliances

DSB - Doorstep Banking, an alliance between 12 PSBs (Public Sector Banks) that include PNB, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank and others to collect the Life certificate from the pensioner's home and they may also charge for this service.
